Ruben Chavez is a 20 year old Ecuadorian- American.
From a very young age Ruben started swimming and began training in order to compete.
At the age of 10 Ruben migrated to the United States, and formed part of different swimming teams in New York City. Immediately after graduating from High School Ruben became a life guard and swimming instructor, and is currently working with the New Jersey Swimming Group as a swimming instructor while attending Fairleigh Dickinson University.
